New Publix Coupon Policy

Sharing is caring!

Wow another coupon policy change …. what do you think is causing all these changes ( first it was Rite Aid now Publix)-

This is what Budget Savvy Diva found out

Publix accepts manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only—no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store) We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only. We will NOT accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities. Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00. For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.

Publix also still doubles coupons that are at $0.50 or less. ( I wonder for how long)

All the coupon changes are probably due to those Extreme Couponers that have broken rules. Publix corporate heads probably watched those shows and saw how they scoot around the rules. Thanks to the psycho rule breakers we all now have to pay.

Why are they changing their policies? Two words: Extreme Couponing. Getting hundreds of dollars of groceries, etc. at a 95% or more discount, cleaning out the shelves of certain products so that no one else can get any – people like that are ruining couponing for the rest of us. Just my opinion!

That Extreme Coupon show frosts my ass for people like me that just want to buy enough for my family and have one on hand..I think it is an illness to have all that food and product in your house and then not donate it..who can use 100 jars of mustard.

Exactly! I am BRAND NEW to couponing and I feel that the rug is going to be pulled out from my happy savings bubble before I even get started due to the show. I didn’t start couponing because of the show – I started because I discovered these great blogs. My family is going through an INCREDIBLY hard time right now and if they keep changing things, I may not get the chance I could have to do my part and help dig us out of this mess. And, I don’t live near the stores that are offering the savings I’ve seen featured on these blogs, either. What a dissapointing shame.

These “Extreme Couponers” are really hoarders. I’m just trying to have maybe 2 extra for my family or I might buy extra to donate or to give to someone in need. It’s too bad that a few “scam artists” are going to make it so no of us get the deals. I’m already fed up with a local extremist who cleared the shelf while I was politely waiting to just grab 2 of an item…it was smores stuff, buy the chocolate and grahams and get the marshmallows free! – She didn’t even leave us ONE! And had no problem looking at my 2 bewildered kids…oh well – we ended driving to 2 stores before we finally found it:)
