RECALL

Little Tikes has expanded a recall of toy tool sets with pieces that can pose a choking hazard to small children.

The Hudson-based company, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, issued a voluntary recall of 1.7 million Little Tikes Workshop and Tool Sets Sept. 28.

In 2009, Little Tikes recalled 1.6 million toy workshop sets and trucks with the same toy nail.

The toys have “oversized plastic toy nails that can pose a choking hazard to young children,” according to a press release from the company.

The toy tool sets with the nails were sold nationwide by various retailers from 1990 to 2004 for $45 to $100.

Consumers should remove the nails and contact Little Tikes for free replacement nails.
