If there is a drink that symbolizes summer for me it is Sonic’s Cherry Limeade. Because there were none near us in Los Angeles I found this recipe and I have not looked back.

Everyday at 1 pm PST/ 4pm EST Budget Savvy Diva posts a NEW RECIPE :) I might miss this time every now or then – but I know you understand

You forgot the cherry. They always put one real cherry in the drink too. I would know, I grew up going to work with my mom at a Sonic cause she was running one lol!!!

Ideas for the strawberry limeade? It’s my favorite, but our local Sonic closed! It was always my ultimate summer treat.

Hey Amy! I used to work at Sonic, and the Strawberry Limeades are made very similar to the Cherry Limeades.

I would recommend buying some strawberry puree, or buying strawberries and slightly pureeing them in a blender. Make it as chunky or as smooth as you like. I would recommend about a heaping tablespoon of the puree mixture for a 16 oz of sprite. Add lime juice, mix, and you’re set!

Strawberry limeaide is just thawed frozen strawberries that come in a tub not bag, sprite and lime.

I feel like a dingbat asking this but what do you mean by Cherry (Bright Red Ones)? Are you just referring to fresh cherries? What about when you can’t get those. Do you muddle them?

Where did you get those mason jars with handles?

I buy jelly in a jar with a handle at a Hostess Thrift Outlet.

I think she means maraschino cherries :) Looks great, do you juice the whole lime into the glass or just the wedge?

Just a wedge :)

I dont know about her but I save all my mason jars from my pickle jars and also my jelly jars with the handles on them. Glass jars keep ice cold longer. In the south sweet tea with a mason jar is the best ever!!! I love Sonic Cherry Limeades THANK YOU for this!!!!
