Thank You! I have to bathe my dogs this weekend and I HATE buying pricey dog shampoos. This sounds super clean and healthier for their skin!

If you use Dawn detergent it will kill any fleas and eggs .We use it all of the time on our inside dog .I found out about this from our local dog pound .We adopted a kitten for granddaughter and it wa scovered in fleas .Way too young for anytype treatment .I just placed her in a container of Dawn and water .Held her head above the water .The fleas actionally came to her head trying to get away .We worked cleaning her on the head until we felt they were dead .We didn’t see any fleas on her at all when dry .That was 6 months ago .

Dish soap strips natural oils from the dogs fur and may irritate their skin. It does kill fleas though, but if you feed your dog raw or cook for them, you won’t have to worry about fleas. I have three dogs that are ages 10 and 11, and I have cooked food for them their whole lives and they have never had fleas. As for shampoo I found a recipe for one that is for itchy or dry skin. You put one cup water, 3 tablespoons Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Castile Unscented Baby Soap and 1-2 tablespoons organic unpasteurized apple cider vinegar in a bottle, and shake it up well. Wet your dog and apply the shampoo. Suds up your dog well up to the ears. Do not use on head near the eyes. Massage well and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse well . It smells really nice and so will your dog.
