December 21, 2012

Hi everyone!!! Sara here :)

One of the most asked questions I get is how does one start a blog ( either like mine OR about something else) – I sat down and put together a video where I talk about all my hints and tips :)

Your blog is one of my favorites and it inspired me to apply more “Extreme Couponing” to my blog which is something new to my blog and niche (sort of),Hello Kitty. I also like that you post on weekends and post videos which some of the others I’ve been looking at don’t really do.

Oh my goodness Sara. Thank you SO MUCH. I’ve been trying to get a blog off the ground completely unrelated to couponing and just didn’t know where to start.. but this pushes me to do it and shows me where to look. Thanks!

Also.. FIERCE eyes girl. :)

Glad it helped you :)

I think one of the things that’s kept me reading your blog and visiting over and over is that each time I come to visit, there’s always something new. It’s been an inspiration for my own blog. ♥

I am so glad :) I love to inspire

Love your site, sweetie.I visit your site everyday. You have inspired me to start a coupon, cooking site. I have Arthritis ALL over my body, esp. my hands. So I think cooking tips for the disabled will help alot of peope. I live in San Diego, Ca. YES, it is very EXPENSIVE to live here. You have taught me alot about couponing. What do you think of the name: Shopping with coupons by the Sea? Talk to you soon……

Budget Savvy Diva December 21, 2012 at 1:11 am

Love the name :)

Oh, or Shopping Cheaply by the Sea or Cheap Seaside Shopping :)

Jus my two cents. And as someone who has a mom disabled due to arthritis, I think a blog with tips for the disabled is a great idea!!

I just want more people to talk to me on mine. I get the “# people have seen this post” but even when I ask polls I get nothing. :( It’s disheartening because I love what I do. I only get feedback from my childhood friend and my sis-in-law. Sigh.

Same here! But, occasionally I get messages from them or they’ll tag me in a post. Aside from the number of “likes”, I wouldn’t know they even looked 😛

Thank you so much for putting this together! I have always wondered where bloggers with fan bases such as yours get to where they are. I have been blogging for a little over 9 months and I realize it is a lot of work but I love it! You have always been such a huge inspiration to me! By the way I love how Watson sleeps in the background about half way through the video! He is adorable! :)

Budget Savvy Diva December 21, 2012 at 4:42 pm

Yay!!! I hope you found some good tips from it :)

Kristy December 21, 2012 at 6:37 pm

Thanks for the tips. I don’t have a blog but do have a facebook page – My Momma Taught Me. Almost got offended with the “mommy/mom” comments…..
But thanks for the tips anywho :)

Kristy December 21, 2012 at 6:38 pm

Forgot to add I’ve had it for over a year now…

Adeline December 21, 2012 at 7:52 pm

Love your site and all the tips and freebie notices.
I write a blog about being a choral singer. I’m not trying to make money or a business out of it, but I feel like finding a blog on a subject one might be interested in very difficult. My blog is on blogspot, and there is no search feature, or ‘more like this’ type of search. You would think with all the tagging you can do in a blog, they’d figure out how to make them searchable. Anyway, I don’t have any followers, and I do post my blog entrys onto my facebook page, but I don’t really know how to get people to follow me. Any thoughts on that?

Just wanted to say that I love your site and go there to see the latest most every day! You are an inspiration and I hope to get into blogging soon too! I especially love your recipe shares! Use them a lot. Thanks for bringing sunshine into my daily life!

I loved the video, it answered a lot of questions. I am interested in setting up a local blog here in Ohio the buckeye state and your tips have been very valuable. Btw yes you are rocking the 10 year old voice.

I’m in the process of starting a blog and I am looking forward to viewing your video and see what help I can get from it. Could you let me know what you think of the name that I have for my blog. I’ve been playing around with it.
One Big (Brother) Two Middle (Sisters) One Little (Sister). The Life of a busy mom and dad. The name of the site will be . I haven’t published yet though.

Budget Savvy Diva January 12, 2013 at 3:01 am

Love it!

Bahahah… your hiking/sunset comment, and your “I remember when I had 3 visitors, and it was like…. my mom” comment literally made me laugh out loud. Mainly because I’ve been there. 😉

I’ve always thought your “every hour on the hour” idea is ingenious. I would love to think of something that I can offer like that- but completely different (if that makes sense.) I want it to be *my* ingenious own thing.

I’ve had a blog for a little under a year, and some of your comments and ideas hit really close to home. Thanks for the tips and suggestions. :)

Budget Savvy Diva January 12, 2013 at 5:34 am
