My mom doesn’t have much money, so they are scraping by every day, just to feed her and my younger brother, but she is in a loving home. I am grateful for that, but I would love to give them a great Christmas because this year has been so hard. Any little bit would help.

Honestly, I would spend it on myself. I am having back surgery soon (spinal fusion) and I will need easy to put on and comfy to wear clothes and pj’s to wear after I leave the hospital and recover at home. It will take several months to recover so I will need something of good quality as well.

I would use it for Christmas for a High School friend..She recently informed me that they got custody of her husbands son and they had to find a larger home for her newly enlarged family. Because of this they have had to take every dime for a down payment on a new home and any Christmas money they thought they had will be spent on the deposit. They dont even have a Christmas Tree. I would spend this gift card on our little girl who is due to arrive in February- I just can’t help but to spoil her already!
At work I support two employee involvement teams– both teams have opened their hearts and taken on “adopting” a family for Christmas. So I have 6 little girls to buy Christmas gifts for, and while I’m not hurting for money- adding 6 children to my already large family I could use a little help. These families live at or below the poverty line and without our support most likely wouldn’t get any gifts at all.
I would use it to buy a present for my mother since I have been unemployed for a long time.

A gift card would be used to wrap up last minute gift items for Christmas like stocking stuffers and maybe a box of diapers.
I would spend it on groceries or presents for my in laws. As a newly wed money is tight. This would help a lot.

She’s the most amazing woman, she takes care of her almost 80 year old mother, and still finds time to be the best wife and mother she can to my father and I.
