Snow Ice Cream Recipe

I grew up in Hollywood, CA for the first 23 years of my life ( I have been in Oregon for 2)

I have been wanting it to snow – I have this silly little dream to have enough snow to be able to build a snowman :)

Well my wish came true the past couple of days – I think we are up to 6 inches of snow

This is what it looks like outside of my office window – FINALLY a winter wonderland :) I thought it would be fun to do one of my FAVORITE recipes as a kid ( though as a kid I had to use shaved ice)

First you are going to needs lots of snow. I simply placed a bowl outside and waited an hour and had more than enough to make this recipe :)

I also used the same mixing bowl to make the ice cream

Now this ice cream will not take super creamy but it is more like a icee —— but SOOOO much fun to make

I thought it would fun to serve my snow ice cream in one of the tea cups I picked up at an antique store  Рyou can see what else I got HERE

It was pretty cool to be able to enjoy this yummy treat while watching the snow fall. Plus this recipe is SUPER inexpensive – maybe $.20 ?

This recipe make enough for 2 people :)  This is the perfect recipe to have kids help make :) I mixed the snow and sugar first Рuse a folding technique

Oh and this recipe is gluten – free :)
