How to Freeze Tomatoes

Get the most out of your summer tomato harvest by freezing them so you can use them all year long.

The simplest way to freeze tomatoes is to just throw them in a freezer safe ziploc bag and stick them in the freezer. When you need to use them the skins will comes off really easily after being frozen.

Or you can do a more detailed process starting with blanching. Cut an X into the bottom of your tomato and put the tomatoes into boiling water for about 60 seconds. And then add to a bowl of ice water.

Once cooled, peel the skin from the tomatoes and place them in a freezer safe ziploc bag. You can cut or chop up the tomatoes if you desire, but not required.

You can freeze tomatoes up to 10 months.
