We are full steam into holiday mode at the Diva household. Family is coming over to visit more regularly. Sugars and spices fill the air, while outside in the bright and crisp winter cold the smell of burning wood floats from the neighborhood chimneys to our driveway. The tree is surrounded by so many presents it looks like Santa came early this year. Watson is licking his lips and staring at his stocking, which in hindsight I should have held off on, but his anticipation reminds me of the indulgent aspect of the season.
Before we head into the new year with our resolutions and goals, December is one last “hoorah!” Feasting and eating sweets, surrounding ourselves with a variety of culinary temptations… the indulgence of the holidays is part of the fun. But while most have an easy go of eating, drinking and merriment, some have to hold back and refrain from getting too carried away for fear of heartburn. A couple of people in my family used to have that problem, myself included. We’d have to forego a lot of the merriest of merriment, because of the discomfort it would inevitably cause. Now, a box of Nexium® 24HR Capsules 42ct is like a holiday tradition. I picked up my Nexium® 24HR Capsules at Walgreens.
Nexium® 24HR Capsules are the treatment for frequent heartburn. It takes full effect between 1-4 days. It’s not immediate relief, but one pill a day will provide all day, all night protection against heartburn, so you can finally let loose and get in on all of the holiday fun. No matter what triggers your heartburn, Nexium® 24HR Capsules is the solution to savoring the best of the season.
As an example I made these mouthwatering jalapeño poppers for my family to enjoy while they were over for a bit of Christmas cheer. This simple sweet and spicy treat is a real crowd pleaser and something everybody should be able to enjoy. It just takes jalapeño halves, cream cheese, and crescent rolls. You should probably seed the jalapeños, but if you want to be adventurous, I won’t hold you back. Spread cream cheese liberally across the inside of the pepper, wrap that bad boy up in crescent roll dough and bake 10 minutes for a delicious handheld pastry. Enjoy!
