If you are looking for the best foods to eat while you are pregnant, check out this great list of pregnantcy superfoods. You can do the best for your baby by eating well and taking care of yourself while pregnant. And most of us will never eat these foods all the time, but even if you choose foods from this list once a day or once a week, you are doing better for your baby than if you didn’t at all.

Bananas

Bananas are delicious and a highly portable snack. They are a great snack to keep in your purse for when you need some extra energy. Plus they help with muscle cramps which many pregnant women suffer from.

Broccoli

Broccoli is a really good source of folic acid, which is a key nutrient that helps a healthy baby grow. You can get extra folic acid in vitamins, but a veggie source is usually even better for you.

Kale

If you aren’t a fan of kale, try adding this great superfood to a smoothie once in a while. Kale is a great source of calcium, protein and potassium just to name a few.

Spinach

Another leafy green that should be on your pregnancy food list is spinach. It has tons of different vitamins in it that are great for mommy and baby.

Avocados

Avocados are yummy, but if you don’t think so it’s another one that works great in a smoothie. If you get used to having them in your house they make a great first food for baby too!

Collard Greens

Not as bad to eat as some of you may think, collard greens is a great way to get some healthy eating into your diet.

Eggs

Most of us probably already have some eggs in your diet, but it is an easy one to add in even more of. Hard boiled eggs are a great pregnancy snack!
