Fettuccine Alfredo With A Twist

Sharing is caring!

I’ve been checking out Fresh Ideas From the Freezer and it’s a pretty awesome site. The frozen food aisle is all about being super convenient but to be honest I usually stick more to the fresh foods unless I need to stock up on some easy meals because I don’t have the time to prep. What I found at www.freezerfreshideas.com was really inspiring. There, you will find everything from digital coupons, new product info, time saving tips and recipes… wait recipes? For freezer meals?

Yes! That is the best part. Some people got really creative with their “TV dinner” and created really fresh new dishes by just incorporating a couple of fresh ingredients to either add some bulk, some pizzazz, or some additional nutrition. Some of the ideas on the site are way out there and crazy good, but you can keep it simple to and add just a little more depth to the classic meals you already love.

Inspired by Kroger and this fantastic site, I took to the Lean Cuisine section (which is huge now) and picked up a simple fettuccine Alfredo. Fettuccine Alfredo is always good but it’s also the perfect canvas for creating a unique dish of your own. If you are the kind of person who needs to eat three lean cuisines to be satisfied, then this is the perfect solution for you. I added protein with some chicken breast and mixed in some juicy ripe grape tomatoes to add another level of pop.
You can incorporate just about anything into it like toppings on a pizza. I even considered adding some Cajun seasoning. For more advanced, really creative concepts, you have to check them out at www.freezerfreshideas.com.

Keep up to date on what’s new in the freezer aisle while you are there and make sure you don’t leave any valuable coupons on the table.
I have a personal favorite on the recipes page, but I don’t want to give it away. What’s yours?
