Crock Pot Short Ribs Recipe
- 3½ pounds of beef short ribs
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minces
- 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 1 cup of beef broth ( not pictures)
- 2 Tablespoon of Flour
- ½ tsp of pepper
- 1 tsp of salt
- 2 Tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of Chili powder
- ½ cup of ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon of red wine vinegar
- In a skillet over medium heat melt butter - add onions. In a bag place ribs and flour -- shake - this will help create the crust you want
- Place ribs in the skillet and brown each side - sprinkle with salt and pepper - 3 minutes PER SIDE.
- Place ribs on the bottom of the slow cooker - place the rest of the ingredients into the crock pot.
- Set it to low and let cook for 6 hours. Check out at the 6 hour mark - meat should fall off the bone --- if not tender enough cook for another hour.
