I LOVE Apple Butter. I LOVE Crock Pots. Apple Butter + Crock Pots = Crock Pot Apple Butter πŸ™‚

It really does not much better then this πŸ™‚ This tried and true recipe will bring back memories of the Apple Butter your grandmother use to make.

What You Need

  • 2-1/4 pounds apples – peeled, cored and finely chopped
  • 1-1/2 cups and tablespoon white sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
What To Do
Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
Place Apples in the Slow Cooker.

Pour the mixture over the apples in the slow cooker and mix well.

Cook on high for one hour.
Reduce heat to low.
Cook for 9 hours – mix every hour ( just for like 10 seconds)

Cover and cook on high 1 hour.

Final Product ( I placed the Apple Butter into a Mason Jar – it makes about 3 full small Mason Jars)

Old Fashion Crock Pot Apple Butter

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
  2. Place Apples in the Slow Cooker.
  3. Pour the mixture over the apples in the slow cooker and mix well.
  4. Cook on high for one hour.
  5. Reduce heat to low.
  6. Cook for 9 hours - mix every hour ( just for like 10 seconds)
  7. Cover and cook on high 1 hour.
  8. Mix Well and Enjoy
This recipe is from All Recipes – I did not have cloves in this recipe, I changed the amount of sugar in the recipe, I also added Nutmeg
