As many of you know I was in Los Angeles a couple weeks ago for InTo The Woods ( which is open now ) we were lucky enough to be able to interview the lovely Emily Blunt and James Corden

They play the Baker and The Baker’s Wife in the film

The film is all these separate stories like Jack and The Beanstalk and Cinderella – and it is the story of the Baker and His Wife That bring everything together

If you do not know the story the Baker and The Baker’s wife want a child but because of a curse that The Witch ( Meryl Streep’s character) places on them they are unable to have children but they go into the woods to find the items to undo the curse

Like I said before about The Baker’s Wife being barren well Emily Blunt found out she was pregnant the same week she got the role of the baker’s wife

By the end of filming she was 7 1/2 months pregnant – she discussed during the interview that they had to get “creative” hiding her tummy – like using the cow in the film or James Corden to cover

I really want to see the film again because I did not even notice that they were doing this – which is a great job on their part

There is a song in the film ( near the end) “No One is Alone” – the point of the song was to let the children know that even though things look down they will never be alone

It is such a touching part in the film – James Corden could not agree more – “I want my kids to know that I will always be there for them…”

There is such heart to the film – it was so lovely to meet the people who brought it to life

We asked the two what the message of the film affected them – James said “I think there’s an honesty in the film which has made me want to be more honest with my children” – that everything is not a fairy tale and be careful for what you wish for; however, if things do go wrong that you are not alone – which is what is important. It is important for kids to know “ … that mistakes are going to happen.”

This really is a film for the whole family
Remember the film is PG and perfect for the whole family 🙂
If you do see the film please let me know what you think – I just loved all the music
