The Most Absolutely Sumptuous Texas Steak Recipes You Really Should Try In 2021

There’s no getting away from the fact that real Texans love steak. That’s why this type of beef is always present in many of their traditional dishes that are rated highly. 

Because of their love for beef, the people of the “Lone Star State” have invented several mouth watering steak recipes that anyone can try. Also, they are open to all kinds of recipes from other places, which are developed around beef.

1. Steak With Cheese and Chive Polenta(maize flour) Recipe

i. Recipe yields: 2 servings.

ii. Total time: 25 minutes(5 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to cook). 

iii. Difficulty level: Beginner.

iv. Nutritional value per serving: Calories(583 kcal), carbohydrate(41.9grams),  Protein(27.3 grams), fat(26 grams),  dietary fibre(7.3 grams), saturates(12 grams), sugars(7 grams), and salt(3.7).

What You Will Need

i. A cooker. 

ii. A baking tray. 

iii. 2 saucepans; medium and large.  

Ingredients

i. 2 beef steaks. 

ii. 3oz. dry polenta. 

iii. 1/2 x 30g pack(0.5 oz)chopped fresh chives, plus extra for garnish.

iv. 50g(1.8 oz) blue cheese, crumbled.

v. 2 garlic cloves, gently crushed. 

vi. 300g (11oz) cherry tomatoes on the vine.

vii. 500ml (17fl oz) chicken stock. 

viii. 200g (7.1 oz) asparagus, trimmed.

ix. 20g (0.7 oz) Parmesan cheese, grated. 

x. 1 tsp. mixed dried herbs. 

xi. 1 tbsp olive oil. 

Directions

Step 1: Grill the asparagus, tomatoes, garlic cloves, and dried herbs;

i. Preheat the burner grill such that it generates medium to high heat.

ii. Next, put the asparagus and tomatoes on the baking tray and drizzle over with the garlic cloves, dried herbs, and half the olive oil. 

iii. Then, mix everything gently and grill for 10 minutes.

Step 2: Meanwhile, fry the steaks;

i. Preheat the second burner grill such that it generates medium to high heat.

ii. In the medium pan, heat the remaining oil over medium to high heat until hot enough.

iii. Next, add the steaks to the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side. 

iv. Then, remove the cooked steaks, setting aside.

Step 3: Cook the remaining ingredients;

i. Pour the chicken stock into the large pan and bring to a boil over the burner grill. 

ii. Now, pour in the polenta and let cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. 

iii. Then, stir in the grated Parmesan cheese,  blue cheese, and the seasoning you made in step 1. 

iv. Stir through the chives, once the cheese has melted. 

Step 4: Serve and Enjoy:

i. Serve the steak with the polenta and grilled vegetables on individual plates, one steak per plate. 

ii. Finally, garnish each plate with the extra chives and enjoy.
