6 ounces of strawberry simple syrup ( recipe below)
1 Cup of White Sugar
1 Cup of FRESH strawberries ( you can use frozen but let them completely thaw) - cut
Strawberry for garnish
Lime Wedge
Sugar and Salt for Rimming
Red Dye Optional
Instructions
Sugar Salt for Rimming
tablespoons of sugar + 1 Tablespoon of salt - mix well. You can add about ½ drop of red dye if you like
Using the lime wedge - go around the rim a of each glass. Dip glass in the sugar salt mixture - set aside
Strawberry simple syrup
In a sauce pan combine - 1 cup of sugar plus 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil - mix till the sugar is completely dissolved. Take off the heat and allow to completely cool. I usually transfer the mixture to the freezer to speed up this step.
In a blender combine 1 Cup of Simple Syrup plus 1 Cup of Strawberries.
Set aside the strawberry simple syrup
In the blender combine - triple sec, tequila, lime juice, ice, simple syrup. BLEND BLEND BLEND
Pour in to cups. Garnish and Enjoy!
