Beer Can Chicken Recipe
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- (4 fluid ounce) can of beer or root beer ( use regular)
- 1 (3 pound) whole chicken
- Clean chicken - rinse with water and pat dry
- In a small bowl combine all the seasoning - take about 1 tablespoon and place inside the chicken cavity
- Rub the rest of the seasoning on the outside of the chicken
- If you are gluten - free I suggest using gluten - free beer or root beer instead of regular beer
- Place the can with the 4 ounce inside the chicken - the chicken should be able to stand up on its own
- Place on the grill ( the grill should be around 400 degrees ) cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes - use a meat thermometer it should be at 180
