¼ Cup of Pine Nuts ( toasted - 350 place on cookie sheet for 10 minutes)
Zest of Lemon
2 Tablespoons of Sun Dried Tomatoes
Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
⅓ Cup of Parmesan Cheese
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
Pepper
3 Sausage - Cut into Bite size pieces
Instructions
Boil water in a pot and cook all the pasta while the pasta is cooking
Add a small amount of oil to a large skillet - add garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and cook for a minute - add sausage ( you just want to cook it for a couple of minutes) place sausage on plate and turn off heat
In a food processor place basil, salt, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts and lemon zest ( just a pinch) and oil - process till well blended
In the large skillet heat again add pasta, pesto, sausage and everything else --- I added in some basil leaves for more texture
