Bourbon Chicken Recipe
- 1½ lbs boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- ¼ cup apple juice
- ½ teaspoon of pepper
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- 1½ tablespoons ketchup
- ¾ tablespoon cider vinegar
- ½ cup water
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- Heat oil in a skillet - add chicken and cook. Place cooked chicken aside.
- Add all the remaining ingredients into the hot pan. Heat and mix until dissolved.
- Simmer for 20 minutes - stir a few times
- Add chicken till chicken is warmed through.
- Serve over rice
