MUST READ: 10 Retailers Saying Goodbye

Sharing is caring!

I was reading a interesting post about different chains struggle or some even have closed – though it is sad … silver lining – great clearance deals! Do you shop at any of these stores or shopped?? Why do you think they failed??

Dalton Bookseller – GONE!

Liz Claiborne – Barely There

– All stores gone – still works with JC Penney’s and QVC

Movie Gallery ( Hollywood Video) – GONE

Once was 2nd largest movie retailer – are now empty buildings….

AJWright – GONE

Never heard of them – but it was the parent of off-price chains Marshalls and T.J. Maxx – guess the discount was simply not enough

PH8 – 2bgone

Bebe had a good idea – sexy sportswear – but sadly not enough business to keep running – see these clothes in discount store near you soon!

Borders: Forecast does not look good.

Oh Borders – thanks for all the coupons – sadly not enough of a discount 🙁

Borders Bankruptcy – CLOSING 200 Stores – MUST READ

How oh how are they going to deal with a $700 million loss …. maybe they should start reading Budget Savvy Diva – hey it could not hurt.
Blockbusters: On the chopping block
The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sept. 23 and announced plans to shutter nearly a quarter of its 3,300 stores as it works with investors and others to devise a plan that will allow it to avoid liquidation. With 100’s millions in debt – they are actively looking for a buyer – interested???
Quiznos – Time will tell
Though they will not confirm the number looks like around 1000 Quiznos have closed – it simply cannot stand up against – the  $5.00 Footlong.
Nine West: Safe ( kinda) for Now
It closed 173 of its 940 outlet and specialty stores in recent months and also shuttered some branded e-commerce sites.
I give it another year …
F.Y.E
100 stores closed – more coming soon… I mean how can this place compete with iTunes – just sayin
Sales are down 20% – after 4 years of loses – I say throw in the towel and get those resumes ready.
