About half a million COVID tests were recalled by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration due to their liquid solution being contaminated with bacteria.

Federal officials recalled over 500,000 Pilot COVID-19 At-Home Tests. Authorities said they have significant concerns about a bacterial contamination found in the test’s liquid solution. Direct skin-to-skin contact with the liquid poses a safety risk, according to the FDA.
