Cookies n Cream Rice Krispy Treats

Ingredients:

7 c Rice Krispy Cereal

6 T unsalted butter

6 c mini marshmallows

12 double stuffed Oreos, crushed

15 double stuffed Oreos, to decorate

 

Directions:

  1. Spray a 13×9 or similar sized baking dish with non stick spray.  Set aside.  
  2. In a large stock pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add in the marshmallows and continue to stir until melted.  Do not allow the marshmallows to rest for too long or they will scorch – stir frequently.
  4. Add in the rice krispy cereal and stir with a long wooden spoon until combined. 
  5. Add in the crushed double stuffed Oreos and mix well.
  6. Working quickly, pour the mixture into the prepared pan.  Use the spray to coat your hands and press firmly into the bottom of the pan.  
  7. Decorate with the additional Oreos – placing them evenly over the top of the mixture and pressing down slightly to stick.  
  8. Allow to set at room temperature for about an hour or until firm. 

 

Storage: Store rice krispies in an airtight container for up to one week.
