DreamWorks Captain Underpants Halloween DIY

Sharing is caring!

DreamWorks Animation sent me a free DIY mailer for some DreamWorks The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-A-Ween fun.

Thanks to DreamWorks Animation, I had everything needed to celebrate the new Captain Underpants Halloween special. I was so excited by this cute project that I immediately went out to buy the perfect pumpkin. I now have an adorable Captain Underpants painted Jack-O-Lantern sitting on our front porch in eager anticipation of “sneak-Or-Snacking”

The New Captain Underpants Netflix Special

Dreamworks The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-A-Ween is a sidesplitting take on what happens when Halloween gets canceled. Harold and George create a hack to save their favorite holiday. By changing the words but not their meanings, they are able to go “sneak-or-snacking” around the neighborhood wearing “disguises”. When rival Melvin raises the stakes, Harold and George need Captain Underpants to save Hack-a-ween! DreamWorks The Spooky Tale of Captain Underpants Hack-A-Ween debuts on Netflix October 8.

Hack-A-Ween DIY Pumpkin

In anticipation of this fun family special, I painted my own Captain Underpants pumpkin complete with a red cape and a pair of tighty-whities. All I needed was a pumpkin with a good smooth surface for painting on. I used black and white paint, red fabric, and a pair of white briefs provided to me by DreamWorks. Once I fitted my pumpkin with the briefs, I painted a face inspired by the likeness of Captain Underpants using black paint. Then I colored in his teeth with white paint. For the cape, I cut out a semi-circle in the red fabric they sent and wrapped it around the mid-section of the pumpkin.

Now we have a festive decoration on our doorstep that is fun and friendly. We don’t do anything too spooky around the kids, so this craft and the new Captain Underpants Netflix premier are a perfect way for us to participate in the season’s festivities.
