Apply for FREE NASA Moon Tree Seedlings! NASA’s Next Gen STEM project in partnership with USDA Forest Service is offering K-12 organizations located in the contiguous United States an opportunity to apply to own their very own Moon Tree seedling!

How to Apply

  1. Review the Moon Tree Seeding Application Guide to complete your submission. Note: there is a required supplemental form for applicants in addition to the artifacts module process.
  2. Visit NASA’s Artifact Module website to begin the process of applying for a seedling by creating an account or click here. You must create a NASA Guest Account if you have a non-NASA Identity. The Moon Trees team and USDA Forest Service will review every application submitted to determine the viability to successfully host a seedling. You will not be able to select the species of tree seedling the Forest Service will decide based on geographical region in the contiguous United States.
  3. Register with NASA Connects to utilize the specially created Moon Trees group community of practice and collaborate with other Moon Tree Recipients.
