This morning I got up early and headed out to Hoffman Farms in Portland, OR to pick some raspberries — I made a fun vlog for you all to enjoy

    Loved the vlog! You looked so cool, and the weather looked great. Wish I had some of those berries to eat. Here they are EXPENSIVE! Even at the Farmer’s market…for $1.50 you might get 4 berries.

    Also, It brought back happy memories of raspberry and strawberry picking with my Grandma when I was a child. I still get berries in the Summer from a local “You Pick” farm in Anoka, MN – http://www.berryhillfarm.com/ .

    It’s such a fun activity, a great way to support local farms, a super affordable way to get produce that you know is fresh and high-quality, and good exercise too. And for those who aren’t able to do picking, some farms offer to pick for you for an additional small fee. Nothing beats the taste of fresh berries and recipes made using them – like homemade freezer jam! 🙂 Yum! 🙂

    Love your site and the vblog. I live close to Hoffman Farm so I was happy to hear that the raspberries are ready. I’m going out there the first of the week to pick my berries.
