Ingredients
Vegetable Oil
Corn Tortillas ( 15 – 18 )
3/4 of a pound of ground beef
1 tsp of cumin
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of pepper
Pinch of red pepper flakes
Tooth picks
Directions
Heat oil in a large pot – you need about 2 inches.
Heat skillet over medium heat add about 2 tsp of oil – Add beef, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, and cumin
Brown meat and take off heat.
Time to make taquitos
Heat the tortilla in the microwave for 10 seconds each ( this will make it MUCH easier to roll)
Add able 2 tsp of cheese on the lower 1/4 of the tortilla ( do not over stuff)
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of cooked beef
Roll – do not over roll or it will explode when you fry it
Secure with a tooth pick
Place in the hot oil for 2 minutes
Take out of the oil and place on paper towels to cool
Take out the tooth pick and garnish with salsa or anything else you like
