Ingredients
- 1 large onion – cut and separate into rings
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of panko bread crumbs
- Vegetable Oil
- salt for seasoning
Directions
Heat Oil to 350 Degrees
In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt – place rings in the mixture ( make sure the are well coated)
In a bowl – mix milk and egg together – dip each ring into the mixture and set on a wire rack to get rid of excess egg mixture
In a bowl place panko – dip onion rings in each. I took the panko and placed it in a food processor to get a finer breading texture – this is COMPLETELY optional
Fry until golden brown ( 90 seconds)
Place on paper towel to get rid of excess oil – sprinkle salt on top and enjoy
Enjoy
