Easy Cheesy Mac and Cheese Recipe

I was thinking the other day that my favorite meal if I had to choose one is mac and cheese ( and not the stuff in the blue box even though that will always have a special place in my heart )
There is so much you can do with your basic mac and cheese recipe – this recipe is VERY creamy and cheesy — I decided to make them in small portions but you can use a 8×8 casserole dish
So I know what you are thinking – cottage cheese but do not worry if you use small curds you will not even taste any cottage cheese just the creaminess from it
I also love the sour cream —- seriously adds to the creamy factor without seriously increasing the calorie amount
I am in love with a bread crumb topping — you simple mix bread crumbs and butter together — perfect top
The recipe is enough for 4 π But I suggest serving a nice salad to go with this yummy meal

Easy Cheesy Mac and Cheese Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 oz of dried elbow macaroni
- 1½ Cup of Cheddar Cheese
- 6 oz of Cottage Cheese
- 1 Cup of Bread Crumbs
- Dash of Salt and Pepper
- 2 oz of Butter, melted
- 8 ounces of Sour Cream
- ½ Cup of Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 - grease a 8x8 casserole dish
- Cook pasta according to the instructions on the box
- In a bowl mix together all the ingredients including the cooked pasta ( except the butter and breadcrumbs)
- Once the mixture is completely place in the casserole dish
- In a small bowl mix the bread crumbs and melted butter together
- Sprinkle on top the mac and cheese
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes
- Enjoy!
