Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese Recipe – Marie Recipe
Make sure to REPIN this recipe 🙂
So I was really excited to try this recipe since it was not so much a handwritten recipe card but an old recipe booklet from Tillamook – Tillamook is an Oregon dairy company – I do not know if they are national but they are well known in these part – they make the best cheese, yogurt, and ice cream around
This little promotional booklet looks to be around 50 – 60 years old
Now I did amend the recipe they had onion and potato chips added to the mac and cheese — Eric is not an onion fan so I decided against it – and the potato chips which is good ( I know I have a macaroni cheese recipe on this site using potato chips) I did not want to add it to the recipe since it would ruin the cheesy crust
I really hope you enjoy the recipe
I am VERY excited this is the 19th from Marie the first recipe ( Spinach and Artichoke Dip Recipe ( Recipes from Marie) )
If you have no idea who Marie is – go HERE – I found a vintage recipe box in a local antique store so I am making and posting one her recipes weekly on Tuesday
Today is Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
I really hope you check back weekly for another recipe from Marie — pretty please comment ( let’s make this like a little community)
You will be able to tell which recipes are hers by the flower on the picture above 🙂
Everything that you will need – I love the fact that this recipe is enough to feed 4 – 6 people BUT it only cost about $6 to make
Here is my cheese sauce 🙂
This cheese can be used on vegetables as well or rice is another idea — this is a great simple cheese sauce made from scratch ( got to love that!)
