5 Ways to Make The Most Out Of Summer Vacation

Wahoo! Summer is almost here ( it is about 90 degrees here in Portland, OR so it feels like summer is already here). Summer means traveling and enjoying down time. I thought it would be fun to do a post where I talk about 5 Ways To Get The Most Out of Summer Vacation. We have only a few short months to relax with family before the kids are back in school. What are ways you enjoy Summer Break? I am a HUGE fan of travel and getting out into the countryside.

1) Plan To Relax – List time!

I know the last thing you want to do during downtime is making a list. But writing a list is important to visual what you want to accomplish – plus it is a fun list so it is exciting to see everything you can accomplish! What are somethings that would be on your list?

2) Find out what is going on in your area

There are many local sites you can use. I know my local town sends out local newsletter about the events happening in your city. Many of them are free! I also found that you can find local groups on Facebook.

3) Clean Clean Clean

So I know cleaning is not many people’s favorite thing to do BUT when I have a clean house I feel like I can take over the world. Especially during the summer is perfect time for garage sales. Clean and sell. Have some extra money for summer fun.

4) Volunteering

Do some good and earn some Karma points. Doing good for others is a great way to make others and yourself feel better

5) Make Sure Your Car Is Good To Go

Above is my much love 2009 Versa ( you can even see my parking pass from college on the windshield ) Make sure your car is ready to take on the SUMMER adventure!

It is important to get routine oil changes. You need to change your oil every 3,000 miles to keep your car’s engine from breaking down. It is important to have your oil changed by a professional this is why I take my car to Walmart Automotive Care Center

What I love about Walmart Automotive Care Center is the convenience. While my car was getting the oil change I was able to do my weekly shopping. I love being able to save time like that.

I have used Pennzoil for years. It allows me to drive my car extra miles every year than I would be able to do with a dirty engine. PLUS  Pennzoil offers a free warranty that covers 15 engine parts that may fail due to engine wear due to friction.

There are different types of Pennzoil for all your car needs. I use High Mileage Vehicle – Helps to reduce leaks and oil consumption in worn or higher mileage engines. It’s a motor oil that is specifically designed for new or late model vehicles with over 75,000 miles, to help keep the engines running clean and going strong for a long time.
