American Heart Association – Go Red Get Fit

Sharing is caring!

Go Red, Get Fit with American Heart Association and Budget Savvy Diva have a partnership, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am so excited to be working with the American Heart Association and to be showing my support for their drive and commitment to ending heart disease and stroke in women.  Go Red For Women is a national movement motivated by this commitment.  One barrier to being fit and healthy is not having the guidance and support to keep going when we are on the right path.

Women’s health specifically is obviously something that I can relate to, but as a mother to be I am much more aware of my own health and how much is so far beyond my control.  I was shocked to learn that each year 1 of 3 women die of heart disease or stroke.  80% of those deaths can be prevented and that is why I want to share this challenge with you.  Friends that do fitness challenges together stay healthy together.  That is what Go Red For Women’s #GoRedGetFit fitness challenge is all about.

One of the coolest aspects of the challenge is the free access to world renowned celebrity fitness trainers Scott Parker and Lisa Morales through the Go Red Get Fit Fitness Challenge Facebook group.

I’m thrilled that Macy’s is joining in to help bring some love to the initiative.  They are offering the challenge participants a chance to win Macy’s gift cards worth $250, $500 and $1,000.  Each quarterly challenge lasts about 12 weeks.  The first one, designed for optimal results, is to take 10,000 steps a day and talk to your Doctor about your numbers while you get your cholesterol checked.

Share your successes and encourage others through posts within the group.  Some people will be chosen at random to win prizes from Go Red For Women and Macy’s.  For more information about the American Heart Association’s #GoRedGetFit campaign and the Go Red For Women movement go to HERE.
