There Is Medical Concern For Baby 5

To follow Baby 5’s Journey Go HERE.

I really did not want it to sound click-bait material – however I did not know how else to phrase it.

Basically it is a somewhat important concern – I am now have weekly ultrasounds until birth because of it.

When I was at my last ultrasound I knew something was off. The tech kept remeasuring the amniotic fluid around the baby. Again. Again. and Again.

Sure enough when I met with the OB – I got the everything is “FINE” with the baby HOWEVER there is too much amniotic fluid around the baby. “It is called Polyhydramnios (pol-e-hi-DRAM-nee-os) is the excessive accumulation of amniotic fluid — the fluid that surrounds the baby in the uterus during pregnancy. Polyhydramnios occurs in about 1 to 2 percent of pregnancies.” There can be some serious consequences – but I am sure everything will be fine – especially being so close to the end and all the monitoring. If you had too much amniotic fluid during a pregnancy please let me know how it turned out.

I had this. Does she have fluid in her stomach? My son had TEF. Which is why I had the polyhydrominos. Reach out if you have any more questions.

I did with my third. And several other concerns. He graduated high school last year. Prayers. I know how scary things can be. 19 years has past and I still remember every appointment and every emotion. Deep breaths, and 1 day at a time.

My pregnancy for my 3rd child was similar. I had gestational diabetes and polyhydramnios. It was worriesome, but did a lot of praying! They recommended a scheduled c-section a couple weeks prior to due date because they were worried if my water broke it could detach the umbilical cord. She came the day before it was scheduled anyway! ( dilating and contractions) they thought she was going to be a larger baby, but she was around 7lbs- same as my other kids. Only other thing is after she was delivered they said my uterine wall had adhered to my abdominal wall- or something like that. Praying for you and your baby!

Praying for you and that sweet baby girl. It can be nothing but please be sure they are looking at her ureters and kidneys (old Peds nurse here!) ❤️❤️

I had it with my first pregnancy. The baby had stopped swallowing amniotic fluid due to an intestinal blockage.
