Beer Can Chicken Recipe

What You Need

1/3 cup brown sugar

3 tablespoons chili powder

1 tablespoons paprika

2 teaspoons dry mustard

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

(4 fluid ounce) can of beer or root beer ( use regular)

1 (3 pound) whole chicken

Directions

Clean chicken – rinse with water and pat dry

In a small bowl combine all the seasoning – take about 1 tablespoon and place inside the chicken cavity

Rub the rest of the seasoning on the outside of the chicken

If you are gluten – free I suggest using gluten – free beer or root beer instead of regular beer

Place the can with the 4 ounce inside the chicken – the chicken should be able to stand up on its own

Place on the grill ( the grill should be around 400 degrees ) cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes – use a meat thermometer it should be at 180
