Skechers To Pay $40 million For False-Ad Claims Shape-ups

“Skechers agreed to pay $40 million to settle charges it misled consumers with claims that its toning sneakers would do everything from help them lose weight to make their “bottom half their better half” without ever going to a gym.”

There will be refunds to buyers of Shape-ups and other Skechers toning sneakers.

There are even reports that the shoes actually made wearers GAIN weight!

    Today I was thinking in buy a pair of Sckechers. Last year a bought a pair at Amazon and I returned it because they were defective.

    Funny that it says they actually made some users GAIN weight… what were they expecting? If they really did tone up the legs of the user, muscle does weigh more than fat….

    I love my pair and would by more. It is common sense that not just 1 thing will cause you to loose weight or get in shape.

    I love my Sketchers! Can’t say I’ve lost any weight, but that is my fault (and maybe Oreos! LOL) but not Sketchers!
