How To Make A Sequin Christmas Tree
I love making decorations for the house – not only there is a personal touch BUT I love being able to use it year after year.
I have been going through a gold and silver phase this year. The more sparkler the better π
I went to a local store and was inspired to make this tree – they had a similar one but it was $29.99 !!!!
There was NOOO way I was going to pay that price so I called up my mom and told her we were going to Michaels
Everything you need to make this craft is above – the cone is located in the fake flower section ( we were seriously running around the store to find it)
You will need hot glue and a hot glue gun
AND TONS of sequins – I chose gold and silver – but you can do different colors. I also picked up a small Christmas topper – it was 40% off ( π ) at Michaels
And you will need a good movie — it is a little time consuming but if you have a movie playing it should be done when the credits roll
I did you gold glitter spray paint to create a gold base – you have to understand that the spray paint eats away at the foam so if you are going to use the spray paint do a few light coatings
I did about a inch of hot glue and applied sequins to each. Using hot glue meant that it bonded very quickly.Β When I got closer to the top I rolled the “tree” in sequins – worked great.
I hope you enjoyed this holiday craft – if you would like more crafts please let me know in the comment section π
Make sure to pin this craft so all your friends can see it
I love you guys and happy holidays π
Enjoy!
