If you have a high stress job, or just tend to live with more stress day to day, you will want to check  out these inexpensive activities to help you reduce your stress.

Physical Activities

Exercise is one of the best ways to help reduce stress, and in many cases it is totally free. Different people find different types of physical activities more relaxing than others, so find what works for you and get out and do it. Whether it’s riding a bike, running on a treadmill, or a nice long walk, exercise is a great way to relax and lower your stress levels.

Outdoor Activities

Some days you just need to get outside and enjoy some fresh air. Being cooped up in an office or inside your home 24/7 isn’t good for anyone. Whether you enjoy a few days camping, work in your garden, or spend a few hours fishing, find an outdoor activity that you enjoy to help reduce your stress every once in a while.

Social Activities

Whether you spend time visiting with your family or friends, or look for ways to help others by volunteering your time, spending time being social is a great way for many people to lower stress. Avoid those people in your life that add stress (we all have them), but spend time with people who make you feel good about yourself.

Brain Activities

For some people getting your brain focused on something other than work or issues in your life can significantly help reduce stress. Whether you like to dive into a good book, doing puzzles like crossword, solitaire, Sudoku, or jigsaw puzzles, get your brain engrossed in something else for a while. One of the more recent activities that adults find very relaxing is coloring. There are tons of great adult coloring books out there! Make sure to check out Solitaire Bliss.
