The scents of summer have been filling our house and really impacting my mood thanks to the aromatherapy of our Earthly Elements™ essential oils! I love using essential oils with a diffuser to clear my head or help me relax and by mixing my favorite essential oils with the Earthly Elements™ Sweet Almond base oil from Nature’s Bounty®, I can make lotion for my skin that smells amazingly natural!
Eric enjoys the calming and clarifying effects of the scents of the essential oils as well. We’ve always preferred aromatherapy as an easy go-to for creating an environment that soothes and transports us to places where we have made happy memories.
There are plenty of ways to scent the air in your home, but I choose the aromatherapy essential oils because they are clean, natural and not harsh like air fresheners or scented cleaners. It’s like having real herbs, wildflowers, or trees growing in the house. I’ve been using some awesome oils from Nature’s Bounty® Earthly Elements TM, which are available at Walmart® in the vitamin Isle.
I found a new use for my essential oils that I want to share with you. It’s a super simple DIY face cream! You can make the DIY face cream – 1 Cup of Coconut Oil, 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil, 8 drops of essential oil (whatever scent combination you would like)
It’s great and it only uses three convenient ingredients that you probably already have in your house! All you need are olive oil, coconut oil and an essential oil or blend of your choice. My favorites are lavender and rosemary. Eric likes Thrive because it’s earthy and woody and has a cleansing aroma. You might like the more popular Eucalyptus, or peppermint. They’re all great on your skin and create stimulating or comforting aromas. Try them all and come up with a signature blend just for you!
