1. Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute? Pretty much all year long, but concentrate on it more October/November. I’m completely done now with personal and business. Yay!
2. If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be? I agree with Miracle on 34th Street
3. Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Christmas Eve. That’s when it all happens for us. Christmas Day is for recovering.
4. When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it? I like to keep it up until after New Year’s Day, so it normally goes up a week or so before Christmas.
5. White lights or colored lights? Colored, and lots of them!
6. Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise? I’d rather give than receive. Hubby and I have been married for 25 years and don’t buy for each other anymore (we buy everything we want throughout the year anyway).
7. Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa’s Workshop? Love the smell of gingerbread, so that would be my choice!
8. Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions! Growing up we got to open one gift Christmas Eve and then we would get up at 4am when my dad had to go to work and open the rest. Because of that, Christmas happens when it’s dark outside for me. We took over the family Christmas get-together 25 years ago and it starts around 4pm on Christmas Eve. We eat buffet style, visit, and open gifts.
9. If you could be under the mistletoe with anyone who would it be? Can’t think of anyone. lol
10. What tops your tree? An angel
11. Can you name the 12 days of Christmas? Not anymore!
12. Have you ever gone Christmas caroling? when I was young.
13. Do you countdown to Christmas? If so, how many days are left? No.
14. What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season? Homemade fudge and frosted sugar cookies.
15. How has Christmas kept its magic for you as you’ve grown older? I don’t get the magic going until we go to the tree lot. The smell of the trees makes it a reality for me!
