Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Set Tour #AgentsOfSHIELD #ABCTVEvent
Last month I was in Los Angeles for the Avengers media trip with 24 other lovely bloggers. One of the coolest things we were able to do was going to the set of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ( while we were there we were not allowed to use social media nor were we able to take pictures while we were there …. But they did have a professional taking pictures of us while we were there ).
I love to go on the set where a tv show or movie is being filmed. I am always so shocked how many people it takes to do a production – I especially loved the costuming department
I really wish I would have been able to take pictures of all the racks of clothes — one thing that shocked me ( because I never even thought about it) is the multiples of the same outfits. The stunt double needs the exact outfit as the actor plus one or two in reserve.
We were able to interview the head of costuming , Ann Foley – this was my favorite part ( what can I say I love clothes!)
She said “Every single person on the show pretty much, whether they have one line or they have a big arc, they come in and I dress them all.” Now that is a lot of people to dress each week!
One of her favorite parts of her job is being a shopper – “To shop, shop all day long. It’s great, because we know the characters now, and I think the bigger challenge was at the end of last season and starting, and this season when we started going darker and edgier, was trying to find that idea of all of the characters.“
My favorite costume above is the silver dress – this is what Ann has to say about it “
