I finally got to a DIY project I have been dreading and it was way simpler than I thought it would be. I’m relieved that it’s done but, now I don’t know why I put it off for so long. I just thought it would be so much more complicated and– honestly? Too much work.

We have a flat screen TV that needed to be mounted on the wall, but I didn’t want the wires to show and to get the job done, I pictured smashing a big ugly hole in the wall and tedious fussing with cords to try and thread them from one ugly hole to the next. I don’t have time for that and neither does Eric. Fortunately, Eric looked at the job a little more closely and saw that it could be a really simple and rewarding DIY project using the Legrand In-Wall Power Kit.

This is a job that needed to be done and as much as I didn’t want to do it, I hated the idea of calling an electrician for a relatively simple task, just because I had built it up in my own head. The kit includes everything we needed for an easy three part installation. A specially shaped saw with handle allow you to cut neat holes that are later covered with special grommets that are also provided. Fish tape is also included and it really makes the task of feeding the cords from one hole to the next a lot easier than I expected.

The kit includes a 54” power harness and a 6’ cord. All you need to do is go for it with all of the provided equipment. Find out more by watching this video.

If you have a flat screen TV to hang and you want to eliminate unsightly wires. This is actually a really good DIY project made simple by the Legrand In-Wall Power Kit. If you would really rather not, you can still have it installed by a Best Buy professional. Buy the kit here.
