I decided to get a little Christmas Crafty Last Night
I have a big project I am working on but I though I would try and make a $.15 ornament
1) I started with a toilet paper roll
2) I measured 1 cm and marked the toilet paper roll – I flattened the roll to make to easier
3) I cut 6 pieces out
Then I got my crazy glue and started to glue each together. It does not take much glue and I kept them together with bobby pins ( worked perfectly)
Once the flower was dry I poked a hole and tied a string so the ornament could be hung
NOW THE GLITTER!!!
I picked up the glitter at the local Dollar Tree it came in a set of 5 – I only used half of it.
+ I used the remainder of the super glue I had – I simply put the glue on the flower and went a little glitter crazy! And you can see the finished product above.
Overall I love this – I figured it cost me about $.15 and I think it looks Homemade Chic don’t you

LOVE IT!! Going to try this with my kiddos!
This is cute….something to do with the kids during the break…not to hard for a teacher to do with her class either. Great Idea! Thanks.
Perfect!!!!
I made your subway art this afternoon (had to paint an old cheap frame — looks great btw) and now I’m going to have to try this. I have 20 or more toilet tissue rolls and waiting for something to cute to do with them.

these r soooo cute, i’d do one side in one color and the other in another….awsome idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My 4 kids plus 4 of their friends are all at the table making these right now and having a blast, thanks for the idea!
very crafty! great project for small ones
I love this idea! I think I will do it with my kinders. A couple of ideas- you could have the kids paint it blue or white first and make snowflakes, or paint it red and put little yellow circles (cut out with a paper punch) or beads and make a poinsettia.
My daughter is making these today. I just glued the flowers together for her and waiting for them to dry. We are putting them on the presents this year.
Of course if you have a lot of extra cardboard rolls, donate them to local pet stores, they can always use them for their critters!
Cute!! I am working on a toilet paper roll wall sculpture right now!
My daughter made these at school a few years ago. They turned out cute.
Super cute! Thanks for the fun craft idea to do with the kids after dinner! If I can only find the glue….lol
This is too cute!! I was trying to find a project to do with my Pre-K as their parent gifts. We will be trying this tomorrow.
