I also like to use it when I make cinnamon rolls. After rolling the dough up into a log, slide a long piece of floss under it, cross them (don’t knot) like you are going to tie a shoe and pull tight. Will cut right through the dough. Works great every time 🙂

Here in Alaska it is used to sew arctic clothing. Parkas, gloves, muckluks, anything made with fur and skins, it is waterproof and strong.

Also helps get a too-tight ring off if needed for surgery or whatever. Wrap floss around finger from above knuckle to below knuckle securing the end closest to finger nail. Then use other end to wiggle the ring down over your now not-so bulky knuckle. Just don’t leave the floss on too long or your finger turns purple.

It’s wonderful for sewing on buttons, even the one one jeans. It will hold up way better than thread.

You can also use floss to cut cakes I use on those big supermarket ones ppl use for parties. Less frosting globed all over and straighter cuts……

i use floss to string shells with holes in them when we go to the beach. It makes sturdy chimes to hang out doors. The kids love to collect them and then knot them up for a memorable beach trip.
