Hallmark and Ornaments have always been a huge part of my life. I always thought it would be fun to make a personalized ornament holder. What I love about this DIY is that you can change out the holder and ornament throughout the year to fit with the theme of that season.
When I was growing up ( and even now) there has always been a large mantel in my parent’s home which is where we have all the special items that mean the most to everyone in the family. Now this craft is sitting on the mantel. What I love about Hallmark Ornaments is that they are well made and help spread cheer and another great way to deck the halls throughout the holiday season. Hallmark always adds that something special to the season.
Most people put ornaments on their Christmas tree – but I thought it would be to use a different way to display it. I love that it has the year on the scarf – it is my families tradition since I was born to get a new Hallmark ornament each year. This is the one we picked for 2015
I went to Walmart and picked out the ornament above – there are so many to choose from.
PLUS there are TONS of Hallmark cards to choose from at Walmart too. Ornament selections include 16 Walmart exclusives, resin figurines, Holiday Barbie, new deco figurines and more. There was seriously so much to choose from – there is something for everyone.
This is what you will need : 1 small white plate, Hallmart Ornament, Permanent Makers ( choose colors that match your ornament)
Next is the FUN part – coloring the plate how YOU want it – you can have the whole family join in on the fun or you can do it yourself. Hallmark Ornaments are the perfect addition to all your holiday decorations.
Remember just to have fun with the decorating. I had Christmas music playing and drinking hot chocolate while I decorated the plate.
Now to the baking part
Simply preheat the oven to 350 – place plate on the oven rack for 30 minutes. Allow the plate to rest for about 24 hours.
You can glue or simply place the Hallmark ornament onto the personalized plate
Beginning 11/15 there are at-self coupons for Hallmark products – $2/3 card purchases. How awesome is that ?!
