Protein Packed Smoothie

If you have been reading my pregnancy updates you will see that I have been having all types of problems getting enough nutrients in my body. Being pregnant with twins it is even more important that I am in taking enough protein. I will say it has been the biggest struggle for the last 16 weeks – that is why I put together this protein packed smoothie to have in the morning. Now this is not technically a pregnancy smoothie BUT I highly suggest it – it is pretty easy on the tummy. I do usually add in a banana as well to add a little sweetness.

This is all you will need – again you can add in a banana or some honey. I did toast the walnuts – it really helps the flavor ( just make sure not to burn the nuts). You can use whatever type of nuts you like.

Protein Packed Smoothie



  • 3 Cups of Yogurt ( Regular)
  • 1 Cup of Frozen Berries
  • ¼ Cup of Walnuts


  1. Blend all the ingredients together
  2. Enjoy
