Many things you will eventually come to realize are not worth the extra money we pay for them. But there are some that are totally worth the splurge of some extra dollars.
For most of us, we do not go through much of the day without having our phone in our hand. For something that is that much a part of your life, spend a little more money and get a better one. This is not the time to get the cheapest one that will work.
Similar to your cell phone, this is one of the most important items you will purchase for yourself. We use them so much in our lives anymore, just spend the money and get the one that is a little more expensive.
Time is valuable these days. With as much time as we spend working, commuting to and from work, and keeping up with the housework and household responsibilities, anything you can do to cut back on that is generally worth it. Whether it is a second phone charger because you always forget to bring it in the car, or frozen veggies to save time preparing dinner, just spend the money. Or consider things you use every day and don’t have enough of like socks and underwear or gym clothes. If you have to do laundry more than you like because you don’t have enough to get you through, then buy more.
On a similar note, don’t let incredible experiences pass you by because you didn’t want to spend the money. Life is too short to not experience as much as you can. If you have the chance to do something new, don’t think about the money (to some extent) and just enjoy. Years from now you won’t remember that you saved the $50 and stayed home, but you will remember a new adventure you experienced.
What things do you splurge on?
