Always Eat After 7
I was given an advance copy of the book Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own. Always Eat After 7 PM is now available for purchase.
Why This Diet Book Stood Out to Me
I am not much of an eater, but my dietary habits could use some retooling. At night I make nutritious meals for my family, which we all enjoy together, but in the day time, everything is a lot more disjointed. Sometimes Eric and I have Lunch together, we rarely have breakfast. The twins are on their own schedule and so is Lachlan, so I usually end up squeezing in a bite whenever I can, and that usually means waiting for the kids to be asleep or having Eric watch them while I hide in my office (if I don’t they always want what I’m eating).
Needless to say, I am in need of a better diet routine and I would love to have a more healthy diet. A couple of reasons Always Eat After 7 PM stood out to me was that it appealed to me as beneficial for inducing deep sleep and providing more energy to keep up with the growing number of kids in this house.
The Surprising Science Behind the Book
I have always had a great interest in unconventional wisdom. Always Eat After 7 PM is a new take on dieting that debunks some traditionally held myths about how we should eat. The classic wisdom tells us that we should avoid carbs, don’t eat before bed, and have an early dinner, but the latest science shows us that those practices are not ideal. Always Eat After 7 PM reveals a diet method that is more effective. Plus, it fits in better with my lifestyle.
“Those who ate breakfast ended up eating about 260 calories more a day, the review found. Those who skipped breakfast were about one pound lighter than those who ate breakfast. These findings led the researchers to conclude that eating breakfast isn’t necessarily a good strategy for losing weight. The science isn’t really there. Breakfast could very well be the least important meal of the day.”
The diet is easy-to-follow and speeds up fat burning while also allowing for the most intense food cravings and indulgences. That’s something I need right now. The key to this is getting a majority of calories at night.
