Amber have you tried Sunbutter? My son is also allergic to peanuts and tree nuts. Sunbutter is a Great alternative to p.b. It is made from sunflower seeds and is made in a peanut and tree nut free facility. It is very similar taste and texture of p.b. You can get it at most grocery stores, whole foods, amazon or Trader Joe’s has their own brand.

Amber, I’ve loved cream cheese and jelly sandwiches for years! Would your daughter like that or another kind of nut butter? They have sunflower seed, almond, cashew, hazelnut…there are a lot of peanut-free choices!

I don’t think it is the peanut butter that sticks them together. It is the bread being squished together around the edges.

Thank you so much for this idea. Such an easy thing to do but never thought of it. I’ve only bought Uncrustables twice.. don’t know why I did it the second time. It is such a ripoff! I’ve made the usual PB & J and also Nutella & Fluff.

They defrost naturally when taken out of freezer doesn’t take long. No toasting or microwaving needed

I was just wanting to know how long are these able to keep for in the freezer? I instantly thought of all the cookie cutters I have on hand to use with this as well. The only thing I think to keep in mind if it isnt a circle is the size of the shape that you use.

Neat idea! I used to do this to make pizza snacks for myself, only my mom had bought one of those little press and seal tools so we didn’t need to cut the bread or press it with the fork. Definitely easier for messy me!
