Get Blood Stains out of Clothes

If you have a blood stain on your clothes that you can’t seem to get out, try some cold water and a little bit of hand soap.

    I’ve always put hydrogen peroxide directly on the blood stain. I let it sit briefly and then scrub with soap and water. As long as the stain hasn’t already set, it always comes out. If the stain has set (like when my son bleeds all over some article of clothing, fails to mention it and just throws the item in the hamper for me to discover much later), I do find the hydrogen peroxide still significantly lightens the stain. I had a friend once ask if the hydrogen peroxide takes the dye out of the clothing. Although it is considered a mild bleaching agent, I have never had a problem with discoloration after using it remove a blood stain.

    and add a little nail brush to rub the blood stained item. Dabbing the blood stained area with the brush in a light pounding motion (between a pound and a dab on the stained item works best).
