Waffle Donuts Recipe
Make sure to REPIN this recipe
This is one of my favorite recipes in a long while — for Christmas I got Eric a waffle maker and I have been wanting to use it for so long — but not on silly waffles
So I thought it would be fun to try and make ( donuts) in the waffle maker – the thing that REALLY makes this dish is the chocolate and vanilla icing that I made – do not worry they are both super simple to make
I have a fun little story for you when I was a young ( 3ish ) I took ballet class each Saturday – and after each class my mom would take me to the local doughnut shop and would get me an apple juice and a pink icing covered doughnut with sprinkles
I really think this recipe recaptures that recipe – which is pretty awesome
Did you know that biscuits can make pretty awesome doughnuts – I have done it many times before
How yummy does the waffle donut look below – I just found out that many people call them wonuts ( yes it is a thing )
