Out Of This World Chicken Recipe - Marie Recipe

This recipe was AMAZING and gluten free! I ended up adding a bit of rosemary to the dish — because I have a slight obsession with rosemary and there is a TON of it growing in the garden

What I love about this dish is that there is such a flavor profile – basically we are creating a sweet/ tart or sour combination – then there is a little spice from the mustard and a little bitterness from using fresh herbs ( if you do not have rosemary on hand I would also use sage)

I just took a whole cooking class about balance and flavors so I was really excited to use what I learned with this recipe – basically Marie’s recipe was a sweet and sour chicken but then I built on that 🙂

I really cannot wait to make this chicken again – I ended up using about 1 pound of chicken breast – you can use chicken thighs if you want ( it will change the cooking time thought)

This recipe is enough for 4 for dinner

Out Of This World Chicken Recipe - Marie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Chicken - 4 Small Breasts
  • 1 Tablespoon of Fresh Rosemary
  • ½ Cup of Spicy Brown Mustard
  • ¼ Cup of Maple Syrup
  • 1½ Tablespoon of Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon of Corn Starch
  • ½ Tsp of Pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. In a bowl mix - vinegar, corn starch, mustard, pepper and maple syrup
  3. Brush the mix on the chicken - before this save some sauce for later
  4. Bake in a casserole dish for 30 minutes ( until chicken is down )
  5. Pour the rest of the sauce on top and finish off with rosemary
  6. Enjoy!
